Full Suspension Electric Bikes

More is usually better, especially when it comes to suspension on your electric bike! Full suspension e-bikes provide the best ride comfort and can handle the toughest terrain. For commuters and city riders a simple suspension seatpost may provide enough cushion, but more serious off-road adventurers will need to go big with rear frame suspension. In addition to providing comfort, full suspension also helps protect your frame and wheels by absorbing the energy from potentially damaging impacts.

On paper the UF1200 FLEX doesn't look particularly special - if anything, it looks overpriced - but this is absolutely one of those e-bikes that you have to ride to get the full story. It's well built, smooth, and SILENT! Some of that is the sheer lack of accessories; there's no fenders rattling over bumps on here. But the real star of the show is the motor. Zooz has actually made a unique motor here, instead of just slapping their name on another copycat product. The end result? Lots of torque, and absolutely no sound. It's awesome! This e-bike is capable of easily cruising at 30+ miles per hour on only the throttle, which is extra nice because this compact scrambler body is not a lot of fun to pedal, especially if you're tall. Pedaling aside this is an impressively comfortable ride thanks to the full suspension setup, and it's amazingly nimble, perfect for riding on trails or even at the BMX park.

It's all aboard the electric minibike train for the e-bike industry! The Core has an eye-catching design with tasteful branding colors, and it's a bit more comfortable than the average minibike thanks to full suspension and raised BMX-style handlebars. The 1,000 watt rear hub motor is incredibly fun to ride on, but a bit too powerful to legally call this an electric bike in some jurisdictions (sorry Californians). The extra-long banana seat can hold two passengers easily with the help of foot pegs, though riding two up will seriously affect your handling.

If you want a trike that's ready for some heavy duty hauling then the 4|2 Rickshaw is definitely worth checking out. Load it up with up to 500 pounds of cargo or passengers; the passenger seat is even rocking two seatbelts for safe transportation! Oh Wow Cycles uses advanced rear wheel differentials on all their trikes, which means that the rear wheels can turn at different speeds, allowing the Rickshaw to corner pretty darn well... for a trike, anyways. Fat tires and a suspension fork provide comfort and you'll feel good riding anywhere a trike has business riding. Like all trikes the hub motor is in the front wheel which can feel a bit weird at first, but you get used to it, and when the Rickshaw is fully loaded down you shouldn't notice any wheel slip when accelerating.

While I haven't officially reviewed this bike I did get to spend some time riding it and I was seriously impressed: it's comfortable, it's fast, and it's SMOOTH. Some of this is from good electronics that are configured well, but underneath Cyrusher has built a quality bicycle that feels good to ride without the electric assistance. This is an e-bike made for adventuring, with nary a fender nor a basket in sight, though you do get an integrated headlight to cover the basics. The fat tires provide traction and comfort on any terrain, the full suspension gobbles up bumps, and the 750 watt rear hub motor can climb even the steepest of hills thanks to the 52 volt battery platform and spicy 25 amp controller.

Value packed is the name of the game for the E-TORQUE, a feature-complete budget-friendly commuter from EUNORAU. "Feature Complete" means it's got everything you need to use it for it's intended purpose of city commuting: Lights, signals, fenders, sturdy rear rack, and basic suspension are all included at no extra cost. You may have guessed from the name that the E-TORQUE is indeed equipped with a satisfyingly responsive torque sensor, which provides a better riding experience than the cadence sensors which are common at this budget price range. Plus EUNORAU has an excellent warranty and hundreds of dealers around the world!

It's electric, and it's a mountain bike! A little bit too traditional of a mountain bike for our my tastes, if I'm being honest; it's rocking a 27 speed Shimano drivetrain, but the reality is that no electric bike needs to have that many gears, so it's just extra weight and complexity. The TX19 is rocking a 500 watt rear hub motor, which is undoubtedly fun to cruise around on, but again it's not a great fit for a mountain bike; most MTB trails don't allow a motor that powerful, and hub motors are just not great at climbing, which of course is something mountain bikes have to do frequently. Still, it is full suspension with hydraulic brakes, and should perform pretty well provided you can find good places to ride it.

This "blast" from the past will make you feel like you're a kid riding your BMX again... except now you can cruise around at 20mph without breaking a sweat! The Soda Bike is fairly small as e-bikes go, prioritizing nimble quickness over comfort, though it will definitely be WAY more comfortable than your old BMX bike was thanks to the beefy fat tires and front suspension fork. This is a Class 2 with both pedal assist and a throttle, and a 624 watt-hour battery for plenty of range.

Full suspension, extra strong integrated rack, lights, fenders, a cafe lock... the City Robin X+ has just about everything you could want in an electric bike! This is a Class 3 electric bike capable of reaching 28mph on pedal assist, and it feels divine thanks to the advanced torque sensor.

Dual battery and full suspension for under $2,000 might sound too good to be true... but you can get it on the Cheetah! This fat tire e-bike is designed for adventuring both on and off the pavement, and even includes free rack & fenders which will come in handy for commuters. Integrated lights are also present although they aren't super bright, and there aren't any turn signals... but hey, for $1,899 it's tough to complain about that. Plus, this tanky Class 3 can carry up to 400 pounds of weight, making it a great fit for us larger riders.

The AQ177 Pro Max has the biggest battery I've ever seen on an e-bike... was this monster made in Texas?! The downside of all that juice is a Texas-sized curb weight of 116 pounds... no sir, this electrified bicycle is not for the faint of heart. With a full loadout of commuting accessories, hydraulic brakes, and a suspiciously low price tag of just $1,799, this e-bike is tempting indeed... but how will the quality hold up over time? Dive into the full review to get my take.

It may be a minibike, but as the name suggests, this baby is tanky! With aggressive fat tires and dual suspension, the Tank G60 is ready to handle any terrain. The cast alloy wheels look awesome and are strong as hell, but they do add weight, helping this short-n-stout machine to tip the scales at 75 pounds. Perhaps the only thing not hefty about this e-bike is the price, it offers a lot of value for only $1,299.
